JOB SUMMARY

• Lead and mentor your QA team to uphold the quality of assigned software products.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage across various software domains through both manual and automated QA methods.
• Actively engage in advanced QA tasks, focusing particularly on QA automation.
• Oversee the creation and refinement of automated QA tests, and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Collaborate closely with Software Engineering Managers to align QA activities.
• Strategically manage resource allocation and task assignments to optimize team performance.
• Track and report on project progress, providing early alerts for any deviations from the plan.
• Define and communicate team objectives, goals, and quality metrics.
• Work with your manager to develop and enhance the testing infrastructure.
• Onboard and train new team members.

REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrated experience in leading a small QA team.
• Expert knowledge of advanced testing methodologies, techniques, and quality metrics for both manual and automated QA.
• Hands-on experience in developing automated QA tests, particularly in Python or similar languages.
• Proficiency in software code development, with experience in Python and ideally other languages such as C, C++, or C#, as well as familiarity with Linux and Windows environments.
• Practical experience with various automated QA frameworks across different domains.
• Knowledge of tools and systems for bug/defect tracking, code repositories, build systems (like Jenkins), and test management (such as TestRail).
• Experience with testing diverse software types.
• Strong grasp of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with C, C++, C#, Android, and iOS.
• Experience with Windows driver qualification (WHQL) is a plus.
• Background in testing and qualifying PC peripherals or other electronic devices.
• Experience in developing biometric systems is desirable.

Education and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with over 5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in developing automated QA tests.
• At least 2 years of experience in leading or supervising QA Engineers.

Language Skills:

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical documents, specifications, and international standards.
• Knowledge of Czech or Slovak is a plus.
