We’re looking for an experienced IT Manager to join the internal IT team of a leading international law firm operating across Central and Eastern Europe. You’ll play a crucial role in shaping and managing IT support operations across multiple offices — ensuring daily stability, supporting ongoing digital initiatives, and keeping a high-performing professional services environment running smoothly.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the IT Director. You’ll lead and manage the IT Support team (10-12 people), ensure efficient daily operations, and collaborate across the business to align IT services with company goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee daily operations of the IT department and ensure service continuity across multiple CEE offices.
  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate the work of the L1 IT Support team.
  • Set and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Report on team performance, ticket resolution statistics, and user satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset records and ensure compliance with asset management policies.
  • Own internal knowledge base development and documentation practices.
  • Ensure strong internal communication via Teams, shared mailboxes, and distribution lists.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes and user lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Lawyers) and external vendors.
  • Monitor system performance, identify improvement opportunities, and optimize IT workflows.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Maintain vendor/supplier relationships and contribute to IT budgeting.
  • Stay current with IT trends and suggest new tools or approaches.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • 10+ years of experience in IT Operations or similar managerial roles.
  • Strong leadership and hands-on management skills with experience leading support teams.
  • Broad technical know-how: systems admin, network management, endpoint security.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (Microsoft stack preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when interacting with non-technical teams.
  • Ability to bring structure and order to complex environments.
  • Experience reporting on operational metrics and team performance.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other ITSM frameworks is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (CCNA, MCSA, ITIL) are a plus.
  • Fluency in English (B2-C1)
